Get through the Chilly Winter – Golf Cart Storage

Many people use there golf carts only for 6 months out of the year. Especially Campers and summer homes. So when storing your cart its always a good idea to have a storage cover. These usually cost between 100-150 dollars which usually drives people away from purchasing one. But the value of purchasing a storage cover includes weather protection, Sun damage, and mold resistant. A lot of people just use a tarp for 20 Dollars. I love tarps and I can be as cheap as anyone but in the end of the day Tarps do not provide Sun damage and Mold Resistance needed to make sure your cart is in top shape the next time you need it. Also, if you have a gas vehicle make sure to add some gas additive because the new ethanol in the gas can separate over time and can leave you with an issue the next time you go to start your vehicle. Lastly, If you have an electric vehicle don’t just leave it be for 6 months. You will probably find when you return that your going to have to purchase costly batteries. Instead take the time to charge it at least once a month to maintain your batteries up. Remember just because you don’t need your cart today doesn’t mean you drop the care to use it next year.
